Base 64 Encoding

Base 64 encoding is something that really pissed me off yesterday. There are loads and loads of sons-of-what-nots out there who post articles about encryption and hashing in .NET. Almost all of these dumb-asses make use of base 64 encoding in some way or the other, but hardly any of these morons had the sense to let us know how we actually find the length of the resulting string. (there is one small issue when it comes to padding)
